Tiësto Fan Gets One Last Dance After Ashes Blasted From Confetti Cannon at Creamfields
“I did not expect ‘we blew him out of a cannon,'” said Laura Mitchell, who sent a handful of her brother’s ashes to Creamfields last weekend to be scattered around the festival grounds. When organizers got wind of the memorial, they facilitated an even bigger tribute to the late Stuart Mitchell’s life: His ashes were fired out of a confetti cannon during Tiësto‘s headlining set. Stuart Mitchell was an avid Tiësto fan and his song, “Adagio for Strings,” even played at his funeral. According to BBC, it was all made possible by cousins Ryan and Liam Millen, who bought the late 30-year-old’s Creamfields tickets from his surviving family. Eric Prydz has unfortunately rescheduled his fan-favorite Holosphere shows due to scheduling conflicts. The announcement arrives on the heels of Tomorrowland‘s 2021 move, which coincides with Creamfields‘ event from August 26th to 29th.
