It’s been a minute since Nandi Bushell has shared one of her viral drum covers, but she resumed the practice this weekend by playing along to Eminem’s “Rap God.” Watch the video below. In the video’s caption, Bushell said she’s been “working on my speed and consistency,” so it makes sense that she chose Eminem’s rapid fire 2013 track. As always, the kid drummer handles the song with ease and confidence, twirling and throwing one drum stick while playing the other and never losing her footing on the kick drum. Nilüfer Yanya has released her first solo single post-PAINLESS with a cover of PJ Harvey’s “Rid of Me,” the roaring opener to her 1993 LP that shares the same name. The London native’s new take opens up the song’s overbearing “you’re not rid of me” refrain into an almost endearing plea to stay together, but like its predecessor, the obsessive adoration comes undone with a crushing, distortion-heavy climax. “Weird Al” Yankovic brought out The Presidents of the United States of America frontman Chris Ballew on Tuesday night at the Seattle stop for his ongoing 2022 tour to perform the hometown band’s breakout 1996 hit, “Peaches.” Yankovic kicked off the cover in earnest, taking on the country-tinged introduction and grunge-edged verses by himself before a familiar falsetto preceded Ballew’s stage entrance.
