Queer artists Orville Peck and Rina Sawayama have contributed two new cover songs to a Pride-themed installment of the Spotify Singles series. The releases come as the end of Pride month draws near, and just one day after the 51st anniversary of the Stonewall Riots. For his entry, alternative country artist Peck chose to take on “Smalltown Boy”, the 1984 chart-topper from British synthpop trio Bronski Beat. Margo Price has released a new live album capturing her 2018 stand at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium. Entitled Perfectly Imperfect at The Ryman, the 11-track release captures highlights from the three-night residency, including on-stage collaborations with Jack White, Sturgill Simpson, and Emmylou Harris. “I am so excited that we are releasing it today,” Price said in a statement. “The recordings are rough and the performances are raw, but there was a magic there and the band was on fire.
