WASCE commences examination in 521 centres in Nasarawa

West Africa School Certificate Examination WASCE commenced examinations for the final year students in 521 centres in Nasarawa with adequate arrangements in accordance with the Covid-19 pandemic protocols. The State Commissioner of Education, Fati Sabo, while monitoring the conduct of the examination in some public and private centres in the state to ascertain the level of compliance said a total of 521 centres were created for the Senior Secondary school Certificate Examination in the State. The Niger State Government has warned school administrators to ensure students of graduating classes adhere strictly to the COVID-19 Infection Prevention Protocols (IPC) as issued by the Ministry of Health and Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC). NYCN youth leaders ‘missing’ in Port Harcourt

Two members of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Napoleon Spiff and Zachariah Levi George have been reported missing after they attended an event at the Ministry of Justice Conference Hall in Port Harcourt. Rivers State NYCN Chairman, Chijioke Ihunwo, who disclosed this said the youths have been missing for four days. Spiff is the Chairman of the NYCN in the Rivers East Senatorial District, while Levi George is the National President of the National Union of Rivers State Students. Ihunwo appealed to security agencies in the state to launch a manhunt for the missing youths. WASSCE: Bauchi government uncovers irregularities in candidates’ list

There are strong indications that some students in Bauchi State may not write the 2020 WASSCE following the discovery of massive irregularities in the list of the candidates preparing for the exams by the Ministry of Education. The disclosure was made by the Commissioner of Education, Dr Aliyu Tilde as contained in a statement he issued on Friday declaring that, a whistleblower has called the attention of the ministry to the irregularities. Kaduna denies report on abduction along Abuja-Kaduna Highway

The Benue State Commissioner for Health and Human Services, Dr. Sunday Ongbabo, has resigned his position.
