The first official teaser for Noah Baumbach’s White Noise is finally here. The black comedy-horror sees the mumblecore filmmaker return with his frequent collaborators Adam Driver and Greta Gerwig, who star in the film alongside Don Cheadle and André 3000. Curb Your Enthusiasm Renewed for 12th Season
HBO has officially renewed Curb Your Enthusiasm for a 12th season. The news is hardly surprising, as Larry David confirmed his return earlier this year. However, given the state of flux at HBO following the merger of Warner Bros. and Discovery, nothing is a given these days. Nathan Fielder’s The Rehearsal Renewed for Second Season
HBO is shelving a lot of its original content as of late, but fortunately those cost cutting measures won’t impact Nathan Fielder’s brilliant series, The Rehearsal. Ahead of tonight’s season one finale, HBO has handed down a season two order for The Rehearsal. Not surprisingly, the network didn’t offer any sort of preview of what Fielder might have in story, because even they are in the dark. “We have no idea where season 2 will take us, and that is the delight of this boundary pushing show from a truly singular talent,” said Amy Gravitt, Executive Vice President, HBO Programming, in a statement. Dan Levy Joins Cast of Sex Education Season 4
Sex Education classes are almost back in session, and this time around, Dan Levy will be teaching a class of his own. Netflix has announced that the Schitt’s Creek star has joined the cast of the series for Season 4. The addition of the breakout comedian is just one of many changes in the Sex Ed world. When the show last ended, Moordale Secondary was shut down, Maeve (Emma Mackey) accepted an offer to study in the United States, and pretty much every star of the show became a breakout actor in their own right. In Season 4, Levy plays Thomas Molloy, a famous author who serves as Maeve’s US course tutor. Pac-Man is a creature, we think: an all-mouth being who can do nothing to quench his infinite appetite no matter how much he eats, even as he is pursued by ghosts and trapped in a maze from which there is no escape. The recent merger of Warner Bros. and Discovery has already transformed the entertainment industry. As the companies’ streaming services, HBO Max and Discovery+, combine, HBO Max has canceled a slew of its original series, and on August 2nd, Warner Bros. shelved its planned Batgirl film despite the $90 million project already being filmed. HBO Max had originally planned to introduce a slew of streaming-exclusive DC Extended Universe films, but according to The Hollywood Reporter, new Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav opted to kill Batgirl and take the tax write-off instead.
