It’s less of a traditional Netflix standup special than it is an experimental look at quarantine’s highs, lows, and the dark comedy that lies in between. It’s held up by a number of catchy songs that Burnham created himself, and it turns out those tracks are about to get a proper album release later this week. As The Hollywood Reporter points out, Burnham will put Inside (The Songs) on music streaming platforms this Thursday, June 10th. Via Variety, the musical stand-up event is “almost finished” and slated to premiere on Netflix. Burnham shared the news on Twitter alongside a short clip of Inside. “hi. i made a new special,” he wrote. “it was filmed by me, alone, without a crew or an audience, over the course of the past year. it is almost finished. i hope you like it.” The teaser begins where his 2016 special Make Happy ended: with a clean shaven Burnham playing a beautiful, solemn melody on his piano. The moment is interrupted by a smash cut to the same room five years la...

For Mulaney, these new projects mark his first for Comedy Central in eight years. His last release for the TV network was New in Town back...
It might feel like there won’t be a lot worth celebrating this Independence Day, but Hannibal Buress will at least be here to make us laugh. The comedian has announced a new special called Miami Nights, which will stream for free on YouTube on July 3rd. The special will touch on Buress’ 2017 arrest for disorderly intoxication in Miami after he tried to ask a police officer to call him an Uber. Bodycam footage of the incident shows Buress insulting the officer in a joking manner, only to find himself in handcuffs with no explanations of charges and no Miranda warnings. The comedian was able to get the charges dropped under the First Amendment a few months later. Buress has often joked about the arrest on stage, and given the current climate of the country, there’s probably no better ti...
