Other guest hosts include John Leguizamo, Wanda Sykes, Marlon Wayans, and D.L. Hughley, with several more hosts still to be announced in the weeks ahead. “We have to show the positive side,” he explains. “We’re not into this world anymore.” Balvin also reveals he hangs with Escobar’s son. “He’s like, ‘my dad taught the world how to not do things right,’” Balvin recounts. “He just messed up a whole generation. I want to show the world the new generation.” That generation is striding ahead, he continues, and people from Colombia right now are “making the dream come true.” The “Mi Gente” singer also opened up about the “lottery” that is anxiety, which has struck him before showtime. “Depression is not being sad. Depression is a chemical disbalance in the brain,” he explains. “It’s way more powerful than you.” He speaks with experience on the subject. Schitt’s Creek is currently airing on Comedy Central as part of a new syndication deal inked shortly before the beloved series made history at the 2020 Emmys. However, the TV network isn’t exactly broadcasting all of the episodes as intended — at least not around the world. According to Schitt’s Creek co-creator and star Dan Levy, Comedy Central in India has censored out a kiss between his character David Rose and Ted Mullens (Dustin Milligan). In a tweet on Tuesday, Levy called out the TV network and attached video proof of the doctored footage. The clip, meant to be a promo, focuses on the spin-the-bottle scene of the Season 5 episode “Housewarming”. While kisses between two women and between a man and a woman are shown, the one between two men — David and Ted — is edited out completely....
John Mulaney is officially returning to Comedy Central for two new specials. Headlined and executive produced by Mulaney himself, both specials will be continuations of John Mulaney & The Sack Lunch Bunch, his Netflix special released last December. That 2019 children’s musical comedy project was inspired by TV classics like Sesame Street and boasted cameos from David Byrne, Jake Gyllenhaal, Natasha Lyonne, and more. A press statement teases that one of the two upcoming Comedy Central specials will be holiday-themed and “will reunite the cast from the original” Sack Lunch Bunch, so be prepared to again see Byrne running fun science experiments. For Mulaney, these new projects mark his first for Comedy Central in eight years. His last release for the TV network was New in Town back...
Source: Tom Williams / Getty Charlamagne Tha God is going to be a little busier. The host of The Breakfast Club will also be holding down a weekly talk show on Comedy Central. Vulture reports that the man born Lenard McKelvey will be hosting a new weekly half-hour series that will focus on “current events and cultural issues.” Details are still being sorted and at the moment there is no solid date as to when it will premiere. However, the goal is to get the series into production by November’s Presidential election. The series reunites Charlamagne with producer Chris McCarthy, president of the Entertainment and Youth Group at Comedy Central parent company ViacomCBS, who put Tha God on MTV2, which included stints hosting Charlamagne & Friends and Uncommon Sense.
