The romantic action-adventure movie hits Apple TV+ on April 21st. Chris Evans and Ana de Armas Fight Spies Together in Trailer for Ghosted: Watch Eddie Fu
Ana de Armas is fast becoming our style crush. The actor stepped out for “The Gray Man” screening at Zoo Palast cinema in Berlin on 18 July in a three-piece co-ord that oozed sophistication. Wearing a Louis Vuitton navy suit, de Armas took business attire up a gear as she walked the red carpet looking effortlessly glamorous. The longline blazer with wide lapels gave an androgynous feel that was expertly offset with slim-fit trousers. With guidance from her stylist, Samantha McMilen, she completed the three-piece ensemble by wearing a matching waistcoat underneath. De Armas finished the look with simple, barely-there silver heels, Garrard diamond necklace, Anita Ko diamond drop earrings, and a statement sapphire ring from Shay Jewelry. Wearing her hair in a low ponytail with wav...

Conservative moviegoers will find infinite (and beyond) reasons to scrutinize more inclusive representation in children’s media. But Chris Evans, who voices the title astronaut in Pixar’s Lightyear, is letting the backlash of the film’s same-sex kiss scene roll right off his back, calling its naysayers “idiots.” “The real truth is those people are idiots,” Evans said in a recent interview with Reuters Television. “Every time there’s been social advancement as we wake up, the American story, the human story is one of constant social awakening and growth and that’s what makes us good.” Lightyear — which serves as a Toy Story prequel of sorts — made some upsetting headlines earlier this year after Pixar employees published an open letter accusing Disney of censoring LGBTQ+...
The Pitch: It’s fitting that after four editions of Toy Story over the last 25 years, numerous spin-off shows and games, and a still-undisputed legacy status, Pixar simply wasn’t done telling stories in this universe. But this one is a bit of a curveball: In the year 1995, a young boy named Andy is given an action figure of Buzz Lightyear, a space ranger who served as the protagonist in Andy’s favorite film. Lightyear is that film. Lightyear promises to be the definitive origin story of one of the film’s most iconic characters, complete with a sci-fi backdrop, his signature attitude and catchphrase, and a major appearance from Buzz’s primary antagonist, Zurg. Though they’ve traded Tim Allen for Chris Evans in the recording booth, there’s undoubtedly a classic Pixar feel to Lightyear. The f...
Scarlett Johansson and Chris Evans are reuniting, this time outside the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The forces behind Black Widow and Captain America, respectively, are set to star in Ghosted, an upcoming adventure film by Apple Studios. Much of the details about Ghosted remain under wraps for now, but according to The Hollywood Reporter, it’ll be directed by Dexter Fletcher, known for his work on the Elton John biopic Rocketman. Deadpool and Zombieland screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick will handle the script. Evans, Reese, and Wernick will also serve as the project’s producers, alongside David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger of Skydance. While we don’t know much about the plot of Ghosted, it’s been described as “a high-concept romantic action adventure” similar to the 1984...
Chris Evans is going to infinity and beyond as the voice of Buzz Lightyear in a new Pixar film called simply Lightyear. News of the upcoming sort of spin-off was announced during Thursday’s Disney Investors Day presentation. But Evans isn’t technically replacing Tim Allen, who voiced the beloved Space Ranger in the Toy Story films. Instead, think of Lightyear as “the movie within the movie,” as it will be the imagined adventure on which Andy’s favorite action figure was based. As Pixar Chief Creative Office Pete Docter explained during Thursday’s event, “See, back when we created the very first Toy Story, we designed Buzz Lightyear with the idea that he was a toy based on some really cool character from an epic, blockbuster film. Well, all these years later we decided it’s time to make tha...
Fictional or not, Marvel’s The Avengers are assembling in support of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. As Variety reports, the blockbuster stars behind Disney’s billion-dollar franchise will soon get together for a virtual fundraiser. Set for October 20th at 6:45 p.m. ET, the event will see Don Cheadle, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Paul Rudd, Mark Ruffalo, Zoe Saldana, and the Russo brothers reunite for some Q&A and trivia with Harris. Most of these names should come as no surprise for anyone. After all, both Evans and Ruffalo alone have been incredibly vocal over the importance of this election. Some have even pestered Cap on whether he might one day run himself. Of course, that roster is about a third of the actual on-screen Avengers, which certainly leaves the door open for countless...

As promised, in celebration of its 10-year anniversary, the cast, crew, and Wright himself virtually reunited for a live reading of the entire script. Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Chris Evans, Anna Kendrick, Jason Schwartzman, Aubrey Plaza, Alison Pill, Mae Whitman, Ellen Wong, Satya Bhabha, Brandon Routh, and Mark Webber were all miraculously available for the reading. Also present were Bryan Lee O’Malley, creator of the original Scott Pilgrim graphic novel, and th...
Marvel Cinematic Universe directors The Russo Brothers are bringing their talents back to the real world. And they aren’t doing it cheaply: The Hollywood duo has teamed up with Netflix for the platform’s most expensive film, The Gray Man. What’s more, the brothers have brought on both Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans for the starring roles. As Deadline reports, Joe Russo will provide a script based on Mark Greaney’s 2009 novel of the same name. The Gray Man focuses on ex-CIA operative Court Gentry, a.k.a. “The Gray Man” (Gosling), and his efforts to elude capture by a former co-worker Lloyd Hansen (Evans). Netflix is providing the Avengers directors with a substantial production budget of approximately $200 million dollars (!). The company hopes that the action-packed Gray Man will s...
