Netflix Reboots Teletubbies with Narration from Titus Burgess

Over the hills and far away, Teletubbies are back to play. As The Hollywood Reporter notes, the beloved-yet-creepy children’s show is being rebooted by Netflix with narration from Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt star Titus Burgess. Teletubby land, with its colorful denizens Tinky-Winky, Dispy, Laa-Laa, and Po, debuted in the UK in 1997 and hopped to PBS in 1998. The original boasted narration from Toyah Wilcox — as in that Toyah, and also that Toyah, and even this Toyah pouring water on herself. Snoop Dogg has lent some hip-hop authenticity to the world of children’s entertainment with his new animated series titled Doggyland – Kids Songs & Nursery Rhymes. Arthur to Conclude with Four Episodes Depicting Characters as Adults

Arthur will end its record-breaking run as the longest-running children’s animated series in history with four episodes depicting the show’s characters as adults. PBS will air the episodes at the conclusion of a six-day marathon taking place between February 16th and 21st. All 250 episodes and movies will be shown in sequential order in the lead up to the premiere of the final four episodes on February 21st.
