Chelsea have been urged to consider Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl as a replacement for Frank Lampard. The Blues have slipped down to eighth in the Premier League after a disappointing run of form, cranking up the pressure on their current boss. Former Sunderland striker Kevin Phillips, who also had a spell with Saints, told Stadium Astro that the Austrian has the ability to be a success at Stamford Bridge. “I think he’s almost got that (Jurgen) Klopp appearance about him, that authority,” he said. “He’s a big guy, he’s very intelligent, he knows the game inside out. “The big thing for the club is, can they keep hold of him? The biggest problem is keeping hold of their manager. “He’s doing a really good job down on the south coast. I wouldn’t like to see Frank lose his job, I don’t l...

Best Players Third Place – Heung-min Son Son is playing brilliantly this season The Korean has been one of the standouts at Tottenham Hotspur for a few years now, but this season he seems to have elevated his game to a new level. If he registers just three more goals in the next 20 games, Son ...
Frank Lampard appears to have been taking lessons in diplomacy from Neil Lennon judging by his antics at his press briefing on Friday. Speaking ahead of the FA Cup tie against Luton Town, the Chelsea boss criticised the objectivity of journalist Liam Twomey from The Athletic. Lampard was asked a question by Twomey about the importance of having Petr Cech alongside in him during difficult times at Stamford Bridge. His answer had all the hallmarks of someone looking for any excuse to deflect attention from his team’s recent performances. “To be fair Liam, their confidence would be shot if they were to read some of the pieces you write at the minute,” said Lampard. “I read them and some of the confirmation bias that you reflect on after games – it’s almost like a social media pundit to try an...
Chelsea F.C. have come to an agreement with AC Milan to loan out Fikayo Tomori with the option to buy him after the loan period. Tomori is a 23-year-old English defender who joined Chelsea’s academy at the age of eight. During his time with Chelsea’s senior team, he has been loaned out to Brighton & Hove Albion, Hull City, and Derby County. Tomori makes this loan move to Milan due to the lack of playing time having played only four matches this season. One of those matches was in the Premier League, in which he came off the bench against Liverpool back in September. Tomori will join Milan on a six-month loan deal until the end of the 2020/2021 season. At the end of the loan, Milan will have the option to buy him for £25 million, which suggests Chelsea are open to selling the playe...
