The Wiggles, Nirvana Make Waves on Australia’s Charts

It’s official: Australia is wiggling right now. The Wiggles bag their first No. 1 on the ARIA Albums Chart with ReWiggled (ABC/Orchard), a two-disc collaborative album that has something for everyone, young and older. Disc one is a collection of tributes, with Aussie acts The Chats, DZ Deathrays, Spacey Jane, Dami Im, Polish Club, Custard, Emily Wurramara and others sharing covers of Wiggles songs. Disc two is a studio album of The Wiggles covering their own favorite songs, including Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” and Tame Impala’s “Elephant,” which came in at No. 1 on triple j’s Hottest 100 poll for 2021. 2022 ACM Awards Shine on Billboard’s Country Charts

The 57th Academy of Country Music Awards (ACMs) shine on Billboard’s country charts, as a bevy of songs and albums showcased on the March 7 show dot the March 19-dated tallies. For the first time, the ACM Awards were not broadcast on television, and instead, streamed live on Amazon Prime Video. It was the first major awards show to be exclusively livestreamed. The two-hour, commercial-free show began at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET on March 7, and was hosted by Dolly Parton, with special co-hosts Jimmie Allen and Gabby Barrett. Wisin & Yandel secure their 15th No. 1 on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart as “Recordar” rallies 13-1 on the March 19-dated survey. It’s the second-biggest jump to lead the all-Latin genre tally in 2022 so far after another song where Wisin is also a collaborator: “Emojis de Corazones” (Wisin, Jhay Cortez, Ozuna, featuring Los Legendarios) rose 11-1 on the Jan. 8-dated list. “Recordar” was released Dec. 2 via Sony Music Latin/WK. The Encanto soundtrack snags a ninth nonconsecutive week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart (dated March 19). The set earned 72,500 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the week ending March 10 (down 9%), according to MRC Data. Encanto also surpasses 1 million equivalent album units earned in the U.S., as the latest tracking week brings its to-date sum to 1.03 million. The soundtrack album was released on Nov. 19, before the film arrived in U.S. theaters on Nov. 24. The movie was released via the Disney+ streaming service a month later (Dec. 24).
