Magic Mike’s Last Dance will hip-thrust its way into theaters after all. Warner Bros. has set the threequel’s release date for February 10th, 2023, Deadline reports. Originally set as an HBO Max exclusive, the Steven Soderbergh-directed film will now have a window between its theatrical release and debut on the streamer, with availability on video on demand in between. The change falls in line with Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav’s business philosophy that movies should be released in theaters first rather than premiering on streaming. Grab your stash of one-dollar bills, because Magic Mike 3 is officially underway: In a recent New York Times sitdown, Channing Tatum offered an update on the third film in the dramedy stripper series. Titled Magic Mike’s Last Dance, its plot takes inspiration from another famously salacious rom-com: Pretty Woman. “I leave for London tomorrow, and it’s going to be pretty bonkers,” Tatum said. “We’re kind of swinging for the fences — there never needs to be another stripper movie after this one. We’re trying to do a fish-out-of-water story where it’s a reverse-role Pretty Woman story that ends up with a lot of dancing in it.” In case you haven’t seen the 1990 rom-com classic, Pretty Woman follows a Hollywood prostitute (Julia Roberts) who is hired to be an escort by a wealthy ...

With that out of the way, let’s talk about Dog, the often-charming road trip dramedy that marks Channing Tatum‘s (co)-directing debut, starring Tatum alongside a trio of Belgian Malinoises for a darker and more emotionally affecting film than you might expect from its marketing. What the Trailers Don’t Mention: All the advertising for Dog sells a pretty authentic version of the film as a whole: Former Army Ranger Jackson Briggs (Tatum) gets tasked with a new mission: Bring a former Army Ranger do...
