Kebbi governor appoints chairmen of boards, commissions, parastatals

The Kebbi State Governor, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, has approved the appointments of nine Chairmen into the state Boards, Commissions, and Parastatals. He also appointed Hon. Garba Birnin Tudu as a member House of Assembly Service Commission. Their appointments which was contained in an official document, signed by the Secretary to the Kebbi State Government, Alhaji Babale Umar Yauri on Wednesday, 2nd , September,2020, takes immediate effect. Anambra guber: No individual can produce PDP candidate – chairman

File Photo Chief Ndubuisi Nwobu, Chairman, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Anambra, on Tuesday said no individual can influence emergence of its candidates with the returned power structure of the party to the people. Nwobu told newsmen in Awka on Tuesday that anybody wishing to clinch the ticket of the party should work to earn the trust and support of the greater majority. The chairman said that 12 aspirants had so far indicated interest to contest the state governorship election on the platform of the party. Eight killed in Kebbi boat mishap

File Photo No fewer than eight people including women and children were drowned following the capsize of a boat at Tungar-Gegero in Jega Local Government Area of Kebbi State. Zamfara APC sets up seven-man disciplinary committee

The Zamfara chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has set up a seven-man disciplinary committee to look into activities of party members working against the resolution of the APC National Executive Committee (NEC). The state party’s Chairman, Alhaji Lawal Liman, made this known in a statement in Gusau on Tuesday. Liman said that the committee was set up in line with the directive by the National Secretariat of the party. Kogi government mourns deceased Attah Igala

Kogi Government has described the death of Attah Igala, Michael Ameh Oboni, as shocking and a colossal loss to the state and Nigeria. This is contained in a statement issued by the state Commissioner for Information and Communication Strategy, Mr Kingsley Fanwo, in Lokoja on Sunday. NHRC unveils new digital complaint platform

Wikipedia The National Human Rights Commission said on Saturday that it had unveiled a new automated complaint reporting database for reporting of various forms of human rights violations in the country. According to the commission, the “automated complaint reporting database” is “a real-time digital platform that provides citizens with opportunities to promptly report all forms of human rights violations involving civilians, security personnel”, among others.
