Cellulant Partners with Five Water Utility Companies in Zambia

Cellulant Zambia announced a digital payment partnership with five leading Zambian water utility companies; Nkana Water, Kafubu Water, Mulonga Water, Chambeshi Water, and Western Water. This partnership will allow customers in the country to pay their water bills with their preferred mobile money and selected bank accounts (Standard Chartered Bank, Zambia National Building Society, and Natsave). In remote areas, customers travel long distances to pay for their water bills. With the partnership, customers will be able to pay for their water bills through Tingg. Cellulant CEO to Resign

Co-founder of Cellulant, Ken Njoroge has revealed that he is stepping down from his role as CEO in 2021. In an official blog post, he says “after 18 years of running Cellulant, I have decided that 2021 will be my last year as CEO. Such transitions are not easy in any way and require a great deal of growth, thought and patience”. Cellulant Appoints New Country Manager

Cellulant has appointed Faith Nkatha as its new Country Manager for Kenya. In this role, she is expected to lead operations and scale Cellulant’s payment ecosystem within the country. Nkatha joins Cellulant from Oracle where she led their public sector Digital Transformation efforts.
