Wolverhampton Wanderers favourites to sign Brazilian star with 13 goal contributions this season

Wolverhampton Wanderers are confident of signing Tottenham Hotspur loanee Carlos Vinicius in a part-exchange deal this summer, Football Insider reports. Vinicius joined Spurs on a season-long loan from Benfica last summer with the option to buy for around £36 million at the end of the campaign. He has impressed with 10 goals and three assists from just 24 appearances, but almost all of his contributions have come against weaker opposition in cup competitions. Spurs are looking for a new striker this summer as they are not interested in a permanent deal for Vinicius, but it appears that he could stay in England. Lucas Moura: Tottenham squad united behind Jose Mourinho

Lucas Moura has insisted that the whole Tottenham squad are united behind under-fire boss Jose Mourinho amid the club’s turbulent 2020-21 campaign. Mourinho’s position in the Spurs dugout has been called into question in the wake of a nightmare week which saw the team follow up a north London derby defeat to Arsenal by exiting the Europa League in shocking fashion at the hands of Dinamo Zagreb. Spurs were thrashed 3-0 in the second leg of that last-16 tie in Croatia, but responded by beating Aston Villa 2-0 in the Premier League on Sunday, with Moura issuing a rallying cry in his post-match interview. “It’s been a very bad week for us, the feeling was very bad,” the Spurs winger told the Evening Standard : “Last night, we showed our nature, we showed attitude. “The good thing about footbal...

Another Levy masterclass: Spurs reportedly have come up with exciting transfer plans for 25 y/o player

According to reports from Daily Mail, Tottenham Hotspur have come up with an exciting plan to sign Carlos Vinicius permanently. The 25-year-old joined Spurs in the summer transfer window on loan from Benfica. The clause in his contract states that Spurs will have to pay a massive sum of £36m to sign him permanently. Daniel Levy, the Spurs chairman, is unwilling to pay that amount, but he is still keen to do a deal, at a lower price. The report claims that Levy is looking to do a deal for less than half of the buying clause – at £17m. If Spurs can pull off the deal at that price, it will be seen as another transfer masterclass from Levy. SL View In recent years, Spurs have found it really difficult to sign a top-class striker who will serve as a back-up option for Harry Kane....

Predicted Spurs starting XI: Mourinho to make seven changes; 23-year-old to start

Tottenham Hotspur travel to Budapest to face Wolfsberger in the Europa League round of 32, and Jose Mourinho is expected to make a raft of changes to the side. The Austrian outfit currently sit sixth in the Austrian Bundesliga, nine points behind third-placed LASK who were beaten by Spurs in the group stage. The game will be hosted in the neutral Puskás Arena, home of the Hungary national team, as COVID-19 regulations in Austria mean Spurs won’t be playing at the Worthersee Stadion in Klagenfurt. Spurs are going through a wretched run of form at the moment, having won just once in their last six games in all competitions. They are heading into this game on the back of a 3-0 defeat against Manchester City, and desperately need a win to get their season back on track. Sergio Reguilon, S...
