Carlee Russell, the nursing student who was found guilty of faking her kidnapping last year, pleaded guilty to the charges in court last Thursday. She will be placed on one year's supervised probation.
The attorney for Black Alabama woman Carlee Russell issued a statement admitting that her disappearance and kidnapping were fake. The statement was read by Hoover Police Chief Nick Derzis on Monday. Shortly afterward, Thomar Simmons issued a statement blasting Russel and declaring that he was her "ex-boyfriend".
Alabama woman Carlee Russell is no longer employed at The Woodhouse Spa. The owner, Stuart Rome, confirmed this over the weekend. He expressed concern over the doubts about Russell's claims raised by law enforcement last week and says her co-workers were "pissed off" about the situation.
The boyfriend of once-missing Carlee Russell expressed his thanks on social media in addition to revealing that she fought for two days to make it back. Thomar Latrell Simmons also addressed those who were skeptical about her disappearance last Thursday in the Facebook post.
