HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Marvel / Disney Anthony Mackie is about to level up on the big screen. The renowned actor portrays Falcon in the Marvel Cinematic Universe but is reportedly inked a deal to star in Marvel’s Captain America 4. For longtime comic fans, this move should not be surprising since the character Sam Wilson aka Falcon has taken up the mantle of Captain America from Steve Rogers numerous times throughout the years. Deadline reports that Mackie is set to star in the follow up to 2016’s Captain America: Civil War although Marvel Studios isn’t giving up many details. The previous films starred Chris Evans as the super-soldier who was born in Brooklyn. It’s not yet clear if Mackie’s Disney+ co-star, Sebastian Stan, will return to reprise his role as Winter Soldier in the film. Chris Evans’ Captain America Rumored To Be Coming Back To The MCU

Source: Marvel / Disney Last we saw of Captain America in the MCU (SPOILER) he was trying out some of that life Tony told him to get when he used the time stone to travel back in time to the 40’s and live happily ever after with the love of his life, Peggy Carter. While fans were glad he didn’t lose his life in Avengers: Endgame, it was lowkey sad as it did seem like that was the last time we’d see Steve Rogers wield a shield and save the day. Apparently, it wasn’t. Yesterday Comicbook.com gave Marvel fanboys and fangirls a glimmer of hope when they reported that Chris Evans was set to return as Captain America in future MCU projects which had yet to be revealed. When asked why he did he what did, Walker simply stated, “If someone had to die, I thought it should be me.” This selfless, heartwarming story made its way to actual superheroes like The Avengers, especially as it became known how much Walker loved them (he has his own Spider-Man and Captain America outfits).
