Kelly Rowland makes her first public statement regarding the clash with an usher at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival.
The Cannes Film Festival is still going strong, as are all the looks to come out of the red carpet. Amid the must-see moments were Dua Lipa going red carpet official with Romain Gavras, as well as Irina Shayk serving her risquè outfit in Cannes in the form of a micro leather bralette and matching ultra low-rise skirt. And following in the same fashionable wave is Maya Jama, who served some serious modern bride vibes in a plunging white dress at the Vogue x Chopard party on 22 May. Styled by Rhea Francois, the "Love Island" host was glowing in an Aadnevik French lace gown, which featured hand-crafted flowers and leather detailing - and took the corseting trend to new heights. The rest of her look was on point, too, as she stepped out in silver heeled sandals by Jimmy Choo, and accessorise...
When it comes to fashion and celebrity collaborations, few are as well-suited as Dua Lipa and Donatella Versace. The "Poison" singer launched her debut Versace collection, called "La Vacanza" (meaning holiday in Italian), with a star-studded show in Cannes on 23 May, marking the first time the Italian fashion house has opened up its design process to a collaborator in this way. The collection itself is a mix of Barbiecore tailoring, chic buckled gowns, and glamorous swimwear. Fun prints of butterfly motifs and monochrome polka dots are threaded throughout the designs, while key pieces have been reworked from past collections for a modern reimagination. Metallic minidresses and signature Medusa jewellery are the icing on the cake, making it a cruise collection that will get your style juic...
If the 2023 Met Gala got your fashion juices flowing, then you'll be thrilled to know the 2023 Cannes Film Festival has arrived to bring more show-stopping red carpet looks. The annual celebration of fashion and film attracts a slew of A-list celebrities dressed in glamorous attire, and this year has already got off to a breathtaking start. Phoebe Waller-Bridge wowed at the screening of her new film, "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny" on 18 May in a black, trumpet Schiaparelli silk gown. The "Fleabag" star, who was styled by Ryan Hastings, looked sensational in the form-fitting number, which she accessorised with a pair of matching silk opera gloves. The previous day saw model and actor Iris Law jumping on the naked dress trend by attending the "Monster" screening in a sheer Saint La...
“No Time to Die” actor Lashana Lynch attended the opening ceremony of the 75th annual Cannes Film Festival for the screening of “Final Cut (Coupez!)”. Lynch arrived on the red carpet wearing a sleek, Fendi column dress with gorgeous emerald-and-diamond earrings. Lynch’s iridescent, ivory lace dress was by Fendi haute couture and featured a high neckline and column silhouette. Despite being a strapless dress, it appears very modest from the front and back due the floor-length, completely covered bust and bridal-lace fabric. From the sides of the dress is where we get a sense of the French Riviera, and Lynch gives us a tiny peak at her toned physique between the sheer panelling of the dress — and the leg splits on either side that go all the way up her thighs. Tomorrow was supposed to mark the first day of the 2020 Cannes Film Festival. However, back in March, the event was postponed in light of the coronavirus, with plans to stage the cinematic celebration in July. Now, though, festival director Thierry Frémaux has told Screen Daily that the 73rd annual Cannes Film Festival has officially been canceled altogether. Frémaux and the Cannes team seem to have come to a conclusion that’s becoming increasingly evident around the entertainment industry: hosting major events in 2020 appears to be impracticable. “Under the circumstances, a physical edition of Cannes 2020 is hard to envisage, so we’ll have to do something different,” Frémaux said. “A ‘festival’ is a collective party, a spectacle that brings together an audience in a given location, in thi...
