Flying Eagles: WAFU B Zonal U-20 qualifiers postponed due to virus

The WAFU B Zonal qualifiers which will feature the Flying Eagles of Nigeria and six other West African countries billed for Lome, Togo, has been shifted to a later date due to coronavirus. CAF shock over missing AFCON trophy

Confederation of African Football (CAF) has expressed shock after reports that the AFCON trophy is missing from the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) headquarters in Cairo, Egypt. On Friday former EFA vice-president Ahmed Shobier claimed that the AFCON trophy can not be found. FIFA is joining forces with the African Union, the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to jointly address the issue of domestic violence by launching the #SafeHome campaign across the African continent. The initiative is designed to support women and children victims of domestic violence, particularly as stay-at-home measures in response to COVID-19 have put them at greater risk. Adegboye Onigbinde: Teslim Balogun remains Nigeria’s greatest

Former Super Eagles coach chief Adegboye Onigbinde has insisted that the late Teslim ‘Thunder’ Balogun remains the best footballer ever produced by Nigeria. Onigbinde said as much as the Balogun family today remembers the late soccer legend who died 48 years ago at the age of 45.
