The Brit Awards is entering the NFT space. When the winners are announced next month at London’s O2 arena, music fans will get a chance to capture a piece of the action, by way of the awards’ first-ever NFT collection. The official digital collectibles are designed by MRE, the West Midlands-born digital artist who has worked with previous Brit Award-winning rappers artists Dave and J Hus, and they’re delivered through a partnership with Australia-originated NFT platform Serenade. Britain announces more flights to evacuate nationals from Nigeria
The British government has announced three more charter flights for more hundreds of its citizens set to return home from Nigeria. Already, more than 1,700 British travellers had been evacuated out of Nigeria back to the UK on special charter flights between April and May from Lagos and Abuja airports. Details of the coming new flights include the charter flight slated for Friday 29 May from Lagos to London. The other special flights will be operated on Monday 1st June between Lagos and London while the third flight which comes up Saturday 6th June from Abuja to London. South African Airways to continue honouring flight obligations
South African Airways has announced that it will continue to honour its flight obligations to cargo and evacuation flight customers all through this month. This is despite the clash in the expectations of the way forward for the ailing airlines which is already under business rescue. In a statement, the airline says while the disputes are being ironed out ,evacuee passenger and cargo flights will continue all through May on a charter basis. A meeting between public enterprises minister Pravin Gordhan and the business rescue practitioners are meeting today to chart the way forward.
