Don’t be fooled by Blossom‘s endearing dimples, pink hair and chic outfits. Underneath all the cute lies a force to be reckoned with. The surging DJ and house music producer has released “On My Own,” the first single off a forthcoming EP. Out now on her very own Pink Planet imprint, the dark and wistful tune puts dreamy vocals and gritty synths at the forefront, complemented by a pumping bassline and spacey, atmospheric sound design. In the contemplative track, Blossom ruminates about the loneliness that comes after heartbreak. “‘On My Own’ is an ode to the people I once loved and lost, and an exploration into who I must become in order to transition into who I’m destined to be,” she explained in a statement. New Electronic Music Festival to Debut In D.C. With Martin Garrix, GRiZ, Seven Lions, More
A brand new music festival 20 years in the making is set to debut in the nation’s capital this spring. Insomniac Events and Club Glow have announced Project GLOW, a first-of-its-kind electronic music festival at the RFK Festival Grounds in Washington, D.C. Scheduled for April 30th and May 1st, the two-day, two-stage fest will feature performances from some of the biggest names in EDM, such as Martin Garrix, Seven Lions, Diplo, GRiZ, Krewella and SLANDER, among others. Not only are flag-bearers Tchami and AC Slater about to hit the road together, but they’re also bringing together top talent from their record labels, Confession and Night Bass, for a massive collaborative album. Due January 14th, the Confession x Night Bass release is perfectly timed with the Denver kickoff date of an eponymous tour. After the successful launch of its weekly “Park ‘N Rave” concert series, Insomniac Events has floored the pedal of its foray into the drive-in show scene with its latest installment—a special Halloween edition.
