Don Diablo’s Most Ambitious NFT Drop Yet Comes With a Real-Life, Hexagonal Structure

Don Diablo is once again making NFT history with his most ambitious venture yet. The project, which he’s calling “Hexhibit III,” is a digital collectible with a real-world counterpart.  Like something out of a science fiction movie, Diablo’s vision for the NFT takes the form of a futuristic, spaceship-like capsule towering at nearly twice his height. While he could’ve left it at that, Diablo then had what he calls a ludicrous idea: what if he replicated the structure in the real world? “I said, ‘What if you could stand inside an NFT, literally? That hasn’t been done before,'” Diablo told Rolling Stone. Though he didn’t disclose the financial resources needed to make it happen, he did suggest the cost to build the chamber was compar...

Audius Strikes Landmark Deal With TikTok As Platform’s First Music Streaming Partner

Audius just picked up a massive competitive edge. The blockchain-based streaming platform just announced that they have reached a partnership with TikTok and are currently the sole partner powering the short-form video platform’s “TikTok Sounds” library.  It’s no secret that any artist releasing music today wants to be on TikTok. From Lil Nas X to Olivia Rodrigo, TikTok’s potential for breaking artists into mainstream consciousness is undeniable. As CoinDesk notes, a survey from TikTok showed that the majority of its U.S. users (75%), discover new music and artists by using the platform. However, in order for artists to have music distributed to TikTok, they previously needed to have the right distribution partner. But those days are changing. Recommended...

Is the Anonymous Creator of Bitcoin Communicating Through Music?

As the legend goes, Bitcoin founder Satoshi Nakamoto vanished from the Internet and was never heard from again in April 2011, now over a decade ago.  However, there’s no doubt the world is more eager to hear from him than ever before. Today Bitcoin trades over $45,000, Tesla has the crypto on its balance sheet, and AMC Theaters recently announced they’re aiming to accept it as currency by the end of this year.  Maybe it’s wishful thinking, but we have to at least explore the possibility that Nakamoto is communicating to us another way: via music. An EP titled Bitcoin, released in February 2021 has gained some buzz due to the fact that the artist credited with the recordings is the elusive Bitcoin founder himself. Interestingly, Bitcoin is a lo-fi album...

E-Livestock and Mastercard Launch Blockchain-Based Solution to Aid Farmers in Zimbabwe

Image sourced from Feed Navigator. E-Livestock Global today launched a first-of-its-kind solution powered by Mastercard’s blockchain-based Provenance solution, empowering Zimbabwean farmers to prove the origin and health records of their cattle, while reducing risks to buyers. First-of-its-Kind A first in the Middle East and Africa, the solution brings new hope to Zimbabwe’s agricultural sector after an outbreak of tick-borne disease in 2018 led to the death of 50,000 cattle. The lack of a traceability system has seen Zimbabwe unable to export beef to lucrative markets in Europe and the Middle East in recent years, reducing export earnings from beef, which are important to the country’s economy. The E-Livestock Global solution brings end-to-end visibility to the cattle supply chain. Commer...

One doesn’t need to go far for practical examples of this. In 2020, companies either adapted to the new normal or contemplated filing bankruptcy. The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic was an unprecedented and entirely unexpected event. Remember when “Remote Work” was just a novel idea? Time will continue to present these events – these unexpected drastic changes, and forward-minded l...

Many people worldwide take for granted the services billions of others struggle to access. In their book “Financial Exclusion and the Poverty Trap,” authors Pamela Lenton and Paul Mosley assert that one of the main causes of poverty is financial exclusion, which they define as the inability to access finance from mainstream banks. /* custom css */ .tdi_3_d8d.td-a-rec-img{ text-align: left; }.tdi_3_d8d.td-a-rec-img img{ margin: 0 auto 0 0; } ...
