Kaytranada Dominates 2021 Dance/Electronic Grammy Awards: See the Full List of Winners

Kaytranada has won his first Grammy Awards, sweeping the 63rd annual ceremony’s Dance/Electronic categories. The renowned Haitian-born beatsmith nabbed wins in the Best Dance Recording and Best Dance/Electronic Album categories, taking home the hardware for “10%” with  Kali Uchis and Bubba, respectively. It’s been a long time coming for one of the most gifted and versatile producers not only in the electronic community, but the contemporary music scene at large. Baauer Celebrates First Grammy Nomination With Upcoming 19-Track Mixtape

Days after the Recording Academy revealed that Baauer is up for a Grammy Award next year, the renowned producer is teasing a new 19-track mixtape. Baauer took to Twitter to share that he would be releasing the album, dubbed BOPTAPE, as a thank you to fans and included what some assume to be the record’s cover art. He noted that those who subscribe to his Twitch channel will have immediate access to BOPTAPE while the rest of the world will see its release at a later date. In addition to the announcement, a short teaser video was also shared on his YouTube channel. The Recording Academy has announced the official nominations for the 63rd annual Grammy Awards. It is a big day for the EDM scene, as a slew of artists received well-deserved nods for their spectacular work this past year. Baauer today unveiled the second single from his upcoming Planet’s Mad LP, “AETHER,” a haunting trap tune that was released alongside a video game-inspired music video directed by Actual Objects (Rick Farin and Claire Cochran). “AETHER” is a dark, menacing trap number with ferocious breakbeats and thunderous 808s that sounds like it’s straight out of an action scene from Blade Runner.
