Avant Gardner Acquires Made Event, Electric Zoo for $15 Million

New York City’s most popular EDM venue has taken over its premier electronic festival. Last week, Billboard reported that the investment group behind Brooklyn hotspot Avant Gardner is purchasing New York promoter Made Event for $15 million from LiveStyle. Settled earlier this month, the deal includes Made Event’s crown jewel, Electric Zoo, the biggest electronic dance music festival in New York. As a result of the acquisition, Avant Gardner will operate Electric Zoo this year. Marshmello Set for Massive Brooklyn Mirage Debut With Back-to-Back Shows

In the midst of of a typically busy summer touring schedule, chart-topping DJ and producer Marshmello is landing in New York for momentous back-to-back shows. New York’s biggest dance music venue is getting a fresh look for a stacked summer season. Avant Gardner‘s founder, owner and Chief Creative Officer, Billy Bildstein spearheaded an ambitious redesign of the already-stunning Brooklyn Mirage. “The Mirage was always meant to adapt and change, to appear and to disappear. Skrillex Announces Rare Show at Brooklyn’s Avant Gardner

Taking a bite out of one of New York City’s most beloved concert venues, Skrillex is officially returning to The Big Apple. The dubstep legend is primed for a rare October 27th performance in the Great Hall at Avant Gardner, which the club’s operators have dubbed “the quintessential Brooklyn warehouse venue.” It’ll be the first time he’s performed in New York City since 2017, according to Avant Gardner’s announcement, which also revealed Wax Motif and Noodles as support. New York’s Avant Gardner Revokes Vaccine Mandate for Event Attendance

Two weeks ago, Brooklyn-based electronic music venue Avant Gardner shared an announcement requiring attendees to be vaccinated for all upcoming shows. However, in response to the state of New York’s rescinding of COVID-19 restrictions, Avant Gardner has revoked its vaccine mandate. Earlier this week, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo lifted sweeping state ordinances on social distancing requirements, capacity limits, health screenings, and cleaning protocols. The Governor’s statement followed a milestone that 70% of New York’s adult population had received at least one dose of the vaccine. Now, the onus is on private businesses to enact or drop COVID-19 safety policies for patrons.
