Everton are in advanced talks with Royal Antwerp to sign defender Aurelio Buta, Sport Italia journalist Rudy Galetti claims. The Toffees have been searching for a new right-back this summer to provide competition and cover for club-captain Seamus Coleman. It was previously claimed that they could swoop for Denzel Dumfries from PSV Eindhoven, but the club were priced out of a move. The Merseyside outfit now appear to have their sights on landing Buta, who has also been heavily linked with Scottish giants Celtic. They are in advanced negotiations with Antwerp for the 24-year-old. A deal of around €4 million is being negotiated for his services. Everton are set to make a £3 million bid for Antwerp defender Aurelio Buta according to a report from The Sun. Toffees boss Rafa Benitez will be desperate to bolster his right-back ranks at Goodison Park this summer. Seamus Coleman will be 33 in October and there have been signs recently that the Republic of Ireland international is on the downward curve of his career. Denzel Dumfries has been linked with a move to Everton all summer. It seems as though Inter Milan may well now be favourites for his signature though.
