ASP killed, three policemen injured in Adamawa mob attack

A mob has killed an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) and injured three other policemen during an attack in Adamawa State. The ASP, Ibrahim Abdullahi, and his three other colleagues were said to be on duty when they were attacked. Bandits kill nine persons, rustle 500 cows in Sokoto

The government and people of Sokoto State are in deep mourning over bandits attack that left at least nine persons dead and several others injured. The attack happened on Thursday in Rarah, a village in Rabbah Local Government of the State. The assailants also rustled away about 500 cows. Fresh attack on Thursday night claimed six lives as gunmen opened fire on some villagers at Wereng village, Riyom local government area of Plateau State, killing six and injuring three villagers. Eight killed in fresh Plateau attack

Eight people have been killed in a night attack by unidentified assailants at a mining site in Kuru, Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau. The incident was said to have occurred on Friday night. Governor Simon Lalong has directed security agencies in the state to fish out the perpetrators of the act. He said the attack was another desperate attempt by criminals to destabilize the state and create fear among the people. Lagos: Councillors suspend council chairman for ‘fraud’

The Chairman, Surulere Local Government, Lagos State, Tajudeen Ajide, has been suspended for alleged financial impropriety. This is according to a letter sent to the Lagos State Commissioner of Police by the nine councillors at the local government. The suspension, according to the councillors, is sequel to a resolution dated April 9, 2021 wherein a vote of no confidence was passed in Ajide. Fear continues to pervade the atmosphere in Imo State as gunmen in the early hours of Thursday attacked the Mbieri Divisional Police Headquarters situated in the Mbaitoli Local Government Area of the state. Police repel attack on station in Ebonyi

Police in Ebonyi, Tuesday, repelled another attack by gunmen on another police station in the state. One of the assailants was allegedly killed in a shootout with the police. Newsmen reliably gathered that one of the gallant police officers, who repelled the attack, was injured and rushed to a hospital for treatment.
