Ibrahim Gambari: We must not assume President Buhari alone can solve our problems

Ibrahim Gambari, chief of staff to the president, says Nigerians should not assume that the Muhammadu Buhari-led administration can solely solve the problems affecting the country. Gambari stated this on Saturday when he represented the president at the 2021 annual lecture of Arewa House, in Kaduna. Delivering the president’s message, Gambari called on Nigerians to put the nation first in all their dealings, as was done by the country’s founding fathers. Nigeria Defence Academy commandant’s house gutted by fire

The official residence of the Commandant of the Nigeria Defence Academy, NDA, Major General Sarham Jamil, was on Sunday night gutted by fire. Eye witness say it is not certain which part of the official residence, situated near Sultan Bello Mosque in Unguwar Sarki GRA, the fire started from but flames were sighted around 8pm. He said fierce looking soldiers prevented civilians around Unguwar Sarki from gaining entrance to render assistance. Newsmen reports that for decades, the house has been the official residence of the commandants of the military institution. Thugs invade northern coalition meeting in Kaduna, attack members

Armed thugs on Monday, invaded the Arewa House Kaduna, where officials of the Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG), were holding a security summit. A statement by Spokesman of the CNG, Abdulaziz Suleiman, said “We regret to announce that armed thugs numbering hundreds were unleashed on the Arewa House venue of the security summit hosted by the Coalition of Northern Groups on Monday, December 14. “The Summit aimed to discuss ways to achieve synergy between communities and government security and design a uniform approach to the current security situation in the North. “Participants at the meeting included retired military officers, Retired Police officers, religious leaders, traditional rulers, various women, youth and trade associations.” The CNG said just as the meeting was about to “kick o...
