Siouxsie and the Banshees Announce New Archival Album
Siouxsie and the Banshees have announced a new archival album celebrating the autumn season. Entitled All Souls, the 10-track collection was personally curated by frontwoman Siouxsie Sioux, who also directed the cover artwork. In coming up with the tracklist, Siouxsie collated both classic tracks like “Spellbound” and “Halloween” and rarities such as “El Dia De Los Muertos” and “Supernatural Thing.” Check out the full tracklist below. David Bowie’s Toy-Era Track “Karma Man” Receives First-Ever Commercial Release: Stream
On November 26th, David Bowie’s fabled 2001 album, Toy, will received its first-ever commercial release as part of an upcoming archival box set called Brilliant Adventure (1992 – 2001). Then on January 7th, it’ll received a standalone release as a multi-disc set titled, TOY:BOX. In anticipation, the Toy track “Karma Man” has been released alongside an alternate version of “Silly Boy Blue.” Listen to both recordings below. Toy was recorded in the aftermath of Bowie’s 2000 performance at Glastonbury, as the Thin White Duke sought to reimagine some of his earliest recordings with a live backing band, and then release it in a surprise manner. But after EMI/Virgin put the kibosh on those plans, Bowie lost interest in the project, moved to Columbia Records, and recorded the album Heathen. ...

Titled Louder Than Noise… Live in Berlin, the release documents the band’s 2012 performance at the Berlin Velodrom. The set arrives April 23rd on CD/DVD, vinyl, and digital formats. The 15-song set rips through the signature moments of Motörhead large song catalog, highlighted by hits like “Ace of Spades”, “Overkill”, and “The Chase Is Better Than the Catch”. To tide us over, a clip of “Over the Top” was released to coincide with the album’s announcement. On December 5th, 2012, Motörhead were in the midst of the “Kings of the Road” tour. Neil Young has officially detailed his long-awaited Archives Vol. 2 box set. Arriving just in time for the holiday season on November 20th, the collection contains 10 discs chock-full of recordings from 1972 through 1976. According to a post on his Neil Young Archives website, twelve of these tracks have never been released in any format. There are also 50 alternate, previously unreleased versions of Young originals. The first four discs are taken from the period of 1972 and 1973. Disc 1, titled Everybody’s Alone, boasts the most goodies, as it features four never-before-released tracks: “Letter From ‘Nam”, “Come Along and Say You Will”, “Goodbye Christmas on the Shore”, and “Sweet Joni”.
