Aphex Twin’s Yamaha CS-5 analog monosynth—the very same used in the production of his iconic Selected Ambient Works Volume II album—was purchased by an eBay user in 2006 at a Vemia auction in the United Kingdom. That user, telestatt, is now offering up what he refers to as “the ultimate holy grail of Aphex Twin memorabilia,” a one-of-a-kind synthesizer that has the Selected Ambient Works Volume II liner notes etched into the bottom of it. Aphex Twin and Novation Unveil AFX Station, a Reimagined Version of an Iconic Synth

After Aphex Twin‘s logo mysteriously surfaced on billboards around the world earlier in the month of October, the legendary electronic music producer has returned. However, fans hoping for new music will have to hold their breath. Aphex Twin, whose last official release is 2018’s Collapse EP, has announced a new collaboration with renowned music hardware manufacturer Novation. Fans knew that something new from the legendary producer was on the way, but didn’t know what it was until Aphex Twin himself took to the dark web(!) to announce the album.  Now, cryptic billboards emblazoned with the iconic Aphex Twin logo have once again popped up around the globe.
