Less than one month after his promotion to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), former Benue State Commissioner of Police, who was later in charge of Armament, Omololu Bishi, has died. Bishi, a Lagos indigene, died yesterday after complaining of body ache. It was not clear if his death had anything to do with the ravaging coronavirus. Newsmen confirmed the death of Bishi through a police source, who said he was to be buried at the Ebony Vault in Lagos today. “Yes, he is dead. It’s unfortunate but true”, the source said. The Chief Judge of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Justice Ishaq Usman Bello, on Tuesday bowed out of service on the attainment of 65 years of age. Former Governor of Zamfara State, Senator Ahmed Sani Yerima, says there has never been any agreement in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to zone the presidency to the South-West region in 2023.
