Professor Gorgewill Owunari has been announced as the new vice chancellor of the University of Port Harcourt. The announcement was made on Friday by the Chairman of the Governing Council of the University of Port Harcourt, Senator Andrew Uchendu. Senator Uchendu said Prof. Owunari, from the department of Pharmacology, emerged from twelve other contenders for the top job at the university. Governor Wike: Nobody can undermine Rivers in quest for Nigeria’s presidency
Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has said that anybody jostling to be president of Nigeria would also need to secure votes in Rivers to combine with either Kano or Lagos to emerge victorious.
