M3GAN Ending Explained: Seriously, What Is Her Deal?

She could be your child’s best friend… If it weren’t for all the murder. The new Universal-Blumhouse film M3GAN is the latest demented idea from Malignant writers Akela Cooper and James Wan, who rote the story of a sentient A.I.-powered android doing whatever she deems necessary to protect a young girl, with some help from her highly-advanced programming and mechanics — her calm kewpie face, fabulous fashion sense, and lethal skills making her both a threat to be feared as well as an instant horror icon. M3GAN is packed with solid jump scares as well as an affecting exploration of how technology affects modern parenting; as the first meme-worthy release of 2023, it’s certainly got people talking. But what is it that makes this a horror movie? Is M3GAN really all that bad? And how does it a...

Kerry King Was Angered by Slayer’s “Premature” Retirement: “That Livelihood Got Taken Away”

When Slayer famously announced that the band would call it quits after wrapping up their final tour in 2019, fans weren’t the only ones disheartened by the news. As it turns out, guitarist Kerry King had “anger” about the decision to end the legendary thrash band. In a new interview with Metal Hammer, King said that he thinks it was “premature” to break up the band when they did. When asked about his reaction to the band’s initial conversations to call it a day, King responded, “Anger… what else? It was premature. The reason I say ‘premature’ is because my heroes from my childhood are still playing! I can still play, I still want to play, but that livelihood got taken away from me.” Advertisement Related Video He added, “But, anyway, on to the next chapter, I guess. We were on top of the w...

Tom Hanks, Father of Nepo Babies, Defends Nepotism: “It’s a Family Business”

We hate to break it to you, but chances are, at least one of your favorite actors is almost certainly a “nepo baby.” Famous children of famous parents have been a hot-button topic online recently, but Tom Hanks has a different term for it: “Family business.” The latest business venture? Hanks and his son Truman both appear in the upcoming comedy A Man Called Otto. Hanks seems to think the web of nepotism is inevitable: “Look, this is a family business,” Hanks told The Sun. “This is what we’ve been doing forever. It’s what all of our kids grew up in. If we were a plumbing supply business or if we ran the florist shop down the street, the whole family would be putting in time at some point, even if it was just inventory at the end of the year.” Hanks has four children, all of whom have ...

In saying it out loud, I realize how creepy it was. That’s not the thing you should share.” As it turns out, though, Feldman was actually glad to find out Peele bought the ear when it was auctioned off as a “hybrid NFT...

Every Yo La Tengo Album Ranked From Worst to Best

This article was originally published in 2013 and has been updated. This time, we sort through the best and worst of Hoboken, New Jersey’s trio of Ira Kaplan, Georgia Hubley, and James McNew. On April 30, 1982, Lester Bangs overdosed and died, and took the ‘70s with him. The next day, in Hoboken, New Jersey, an obscure music writer named Ira Kaplan and a former child voiceover actress named Georgia Hubley performed together before an audience for the first time. Eventually, the pair became a band. They adopted a name after the Spanish phrase for “I have it.” Mets fans might recognize as the phrase o...
