Tool’s Danny Carey Due in Court January 12th for Alleged Assault as New Details Emerge

Tool drummer Danny Carey will have to make a January 12th court appearance stemming from his arrest for alleged assault at the Kansas City International Airport. Along with the court date, a few new details have emerged regarding the incident. As previously reported, Carey was arrested for misdemeanor assault Sunday night (December 12th) after law enforcement received a report of a “disturbance between two males at an airport terminal,” with TMZ reporting that the acclaimed musician allegedly got into a physical altercation with an airport security worker. A citation from the Kansas City Airport Police, newly obtained by Billboard, confirms TMZ’s earlier report that Carey allegedly hurled a homophobic slur at the security worker he is accused of assaulting. “[Carey] did intentionally cause...

Video Surfaces of Tool Drummer Danny Carey’s Arrest

Earlier today, we reported that Danny Carey was arrested on Sunday night (December 12th) for an alleged assault at the Kansas City airport. Now, video of his arrest has surfaced, showing the Tool drummer getting into it with the officers. Unfortunately, the video is not a good look for Carey, who berates the officers and tells the person filming him to “videotape all of this.” The drummer, wearing a Kansas City Chiefs jersey (and perhaps attending the NFL team’s home game against the Raiders earlier that day), keeps asking one of the officers, “Who did I assault?” and exclaiming, “I just want to get the f**k out of here.” The footage then cuts to two officers pinning him against a glass wall outside the airport, with one officer ordering Carey not to get too close to them. The officers the...

The incident is not related to the allegations of sexual assault brought against Manson by numerous women in recent months. According to the Boston Globe and Los Angeles Times, Manson has reached an agreement with the police department in Guilford, New Hampshire, to surrender to the LAPD at a prearranged date, at which time he will be booked and go through the bail process. He’ll then be ordered to appear at a New Hampshire court for arraignment, likely in August. The incident in question occurred at Manson’s August 18, 2019 concert at the Ba...

Moog, the famous synthesizer company based in Asheville, North Carolina, has been accused of workplace discrimination, verbal abuse, physical assault, and misogyny in a new federal civil rights lawsuit. According to The Asheville Blade, former sales assistant Hannah Green is suing the company for over $1 million to “make sure Moog Music never does this to anyone else ever again.” Green was hired as a sales assistant in 2018 and a “personal assistant to the head of sales.” By the end of the year, she was a full-time staff member that managed 20 accounts on her own, but her job title was never updated to reflect the additional tasks she was assigned beyond her job description. Linda Lafferty, the then-head of Moog’s sales department, allegedly promised Green an official title change “soon.” ...

Upon filing for divorce from Depp in 2016, Heard accused her ex-husband of abusive behavior. Depp vehemently denied the allegations, contending instead that it was Heard who was abusive against him. The former couple eventually reached a settlement out of court, but in early 2019 Depp sued Heard for defamation after she published...
