Olusola Oke: We’re not leaving APC
The consensus candidate of the Unity Group of the All Progressive Congress in Ondo State and the first runner up in the party governorship primary, Chief Olusola Oke, has said that himself and the group are not planning to leave the party but with some conditions. Speculation was rife that Oke was planning to defect to another party to contest for the October 10 governorship election after losing to governor Rotimi Akeredolu in the primary. Police bar APC’s acting national secretary from secretariat
The crisis in the All Progressive Congress (APC) continues to deepen as the Acting National Secretary of the party, Arc Waziri Bulama, was barred by armed policemen from entering the National Secretariat. Bulama while addressing the media on the event said; “I came here this morning to resume work and met policemen who said they have instructions from above to seal the secretariat. “I have called the commissioner of police and he said he is sending a senior Officer to see what is happening. “The workers of the secretariat are servicing over 16 million members of this party across Nigeria. Police confirm abduction of APC vice-chairman, daughter
The Police Command in Kaduna on Thursday confirmed the abduction of the Vice-Chairman, All Progressive Congress (APC), Kaduna State chapter, Shu’aibu Idris-Lauge, and his daughter. The Command’s Public Relations Officer, Mohammed Jalige, confirmed the incident in Kaduna. According to him, Shu’aibu and his daughter were abducted from their Kwanar Zango residence along Kaduna-Zaria expressway on Thursday morning. “Efforts are being made to rescue the kidnapped victims, apprehend and bring the culprits to book,” he said. Lockdown: Anambra lose N1.9 billion internal revenue in six weeks – official
Anambra State Government said it has lost about N1.9 billion from Internally Generated Revenue, IGR, in six weeks, due to the lockdown order to contain the dreaded coronavirus pandemic.
