Alison Wonderland just announced that her next single will be dropping this week. Titled “Bad Things,” the upcoming tune is her first solo release of 2020 following her April collaboration with phem, “WWCBD,” and March single with Chet Porter, “Bummed.” It’s important to note that although the embedded tweet below states that the song is to be released on Wednesday, September 23rd, Alison clarified in a follow-up tweet that the listed date was a mistake and that the song will actually be released on Thursday. A new documentary underscoring the blatant lack of female inclusivity in the dance music industry is primed for its world premiere. Sponsored by Bud Light Canada, “Underplayed” will feature a litany of influential women in the electronic dance music scene, including REZZ, NERVO, Anna Lunoe, Alison Wonderland, and TOKiMONSTA, among others, who will wax poetic about their gross underrepresentation in a modern musical zeitgeist they helped to popularize. Clarkson played a pivotal role in developing a number of the most renowned artists in EDM. Venerated talent agency ICM Partners has hired veteran agent Simon Clarkson to spearhead its Electronic Dance Music division. Clarkson, who spent eight years at rival organization William Morris Endeavor, also ran Mainstage Artists prior to his ICM appointment. According to Variety, Clarkson played a pivotal role in developing a number of the most renowned artists in EDM, including Skrillex, Calvin Harris, Alison Wonderland, Kygo, Eric Prydz, and Above & Beyond, among many others.
