With the release of a COVID-19 vaccine on the horizon in the United States, EDM artists are rescheduling cancelled 2020 tour dates at a dizzying pace, particularly at Colorado’s storied Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Alison Wonderland is the latest to join the ranks of artists announcing 2021 shows at the venue, along with Galantis, Zeds Dead, REZZ, and RÜFÜS DU SOL, among others. An EDM dream collaboration is on the horizon. Alison Wonderland and Valentino Khan—two of dance music’s most versatile artists—have announced a forthcoming joint track called “Anything.” Valentino Khan took to Twitter to share the “big news for the people” with a video in which both artists exult in the announcement. If that clip is any indication, they are both clearly pumped about this song, and fans are too. Alison Wonderland encapsulated the upcoming track best when she simply said, “I am so fucking hyped on this track.” They haven’t announced a release date for “Anything,” but we’ll keep you posted when they do. The entertainment industry came to a screeching halt as film, television and music production companies reckoned with the blatant sexism rampant throughout their workplaces—and the dangerous circumstances such inequity can produce. The spotlight is now turning to EDM with the release of a new feature-length documentary called Underplayed. Alison Wonderland and Said The Sky teased the possibility of a future collaboration this week, via footage posted on Twitter from a Colorado studio session. The clip, shared on October 15th, already has more than 56,000 views.  Featuring Alison Wonderland on an electric cello and Said The Sky on a keyboard, the video’s 39 seconds include bits of a song that promises to be equal parts gentle and thought provoking. The two can be seen performing live an emotionally poignant melody, composed of lilting keyboard notes underlaid with slow, stirring string chords. Valorant has unveiled its newest agent, a powerful, nature-controlling heroine by the name of Skye. In the official trailer to reveal the character, Riot Games opted to use a track from an electronic music artist just as badass as the character herself—Alison Wonderland. The trailer makes use of Alison Wonderland’s scintillating single “Time,” a wonky trap bomb produced alongside fellow bass music heavyweight QUIX. Soccer fans everywhere are preparing their thumbs for the release of EA Sports‘ FIFA 21. In addition to the promised gameplay and graphical improvements, the developers have announced what artists will be soundtracking players’ matches for the coming year. The 2021 soundtrack has been split into two. One-half covers the base game while the other handles the street soccer portion of the application, “Volta Football.” Between the pair, players will have access to tunes from more than 100 artists representing over 20 countries.
