Alison Wonderland is hitting the road in 2022 for a can’t-miss headlining tour. Over the course of the tour, fans are safe to expect the Australian dance music superstar to perform cuts from her brand new album, which she recently confirmed will drop in 2022. But if the tour’s name is any indication, they might have to wait a bit for the release. Wonderland’s “I am not quite ready to share my album title or artwork yet” tour will kick off in March and hit a number of major cities, like Miami, Chicago, Boston and Brooklyn. She’ll then tie a bow on it with a show in June in Berkeley, California. A new video released to announce the tour confirms that it will feature new music, as well as new production, visuals, lighting, and live musicians. Recommended Ar...
With a new album on the horizon, Alison Wonderland is primed for a monster year. And she’s wasted no time in 2022, unveiling a brand new single called “Fear of Dying” alongside an intimate music video. “Fear of Dying” taps into her trap music roots, using brass stabs and frenetic arpeggios in its sublime drops. Directed by Brandon Dermer, who has worked with Dillon Francis and Panic! at the Disco, among others, the woozy video follows a whirling Wonderland as she wanders through a city in a catatonic state. The music video, one of the most gripping of her career, takes a dark turn at its coda, when she is kidnapped—by herself. Here Wonderland is as captivating as she is haunting, twisting the knife into her dualities. Check out the “Fear o...

With a simple seven-word tweet, Alison Wonderland made 2022 her year—as if that wasn’t already the case. “there will be an album in 2022,” wrote the dance music luminary, who recently released a brand new single from the record called “Fuck U Love You” alongside an eerie music video. Wonderland’s hotly anticipated third studio album was rumored to release in 2021, but to no avail. She’s remained taciturn when it comes to the record, her first since 2018’s fan-favorite Awake, which topped Billboard’s Dance/Electronic Albums chart and features a number of her most prized tracks, such as “Church” and “Easy.” The upcoming album’s lead single, the wistful “Bad Things,” arrived back in Septe...
Alison Wonderland has taken her patented “fuck me up on a spiritual level” mantra to a new level with her new single. The superstar singer-songwriter and electronic music producer has unveiled “Fuck U Love U,” a brooding banger. Fragility is the central motif of the angsty track, which doubles as a captivating cry for help: “I’m by myself / I’m all alone / I think too much / need to switch off,” she sings. Wonderland is as vulnerable as she is magnetic in the official “Fuck U Love U” lyric video, a kaleidoscopic and eerie audiovisual with more tension than an awkward middle school dance. Her haunting lyrics about inner demons materialize in the form of sinister hands, which she wards off throughout. Blindfolded and veil...

Alison Wonderland has heeded the call of the wild with her Whyte Fang alias, which made its return this week after more than six years since new music last arrived. Her new single “TIDES” dropped today under her own FMU Records banner. “This is all the weird stuff,” Wonderland playfully warned while teasing its release. She’s not wrong: during its 105 seconds, frenetic strings manage to mutate into a firestorm of distorted 808s and eerie synths. The wonky “TIDES” then sprints across the finish line with an adventurous second drop in double time, delivering a raucous rush of drum & bass. While hectic in its structure, “TIDES” is enticing in its sound design, which finds Whyte Fang bringing the arrangement together for one cohesive an...

The return of Alison Wonderland‘s decade-old Whyte Fang project is official. Back in May we reported on the revival of Whyte Fang, a musical alias developed by Wonderland as early as 2011. The superstar DJ, producer, and singer-songwriter hasn’t released new music under the moniker since 2014, but has teased its comeback in cryptic fashion a number of times in 2021. Wonderland has now confirmed that a new Whyte Fang track called “TIDES” is set to drop this week. She briefly expounded on the song in a follow-up tweet, telling fans they can expect to hear “all the weird stuff” and teasing more music in the near future. “I am going to start releasing music from my side project whyte fang,” she said. “The first piec...
