Manchester United left-back Alex Telles has joined La Liga side Sevilla on a season-long loan who will also cover the player’s wages. Telles’ departure comes after United signed Feyenoord left-back Tyrell Malacia, with new boss Erik ten Hag keen to use Malacia as a back-up to Luke Shaw instead. The Brazilian joined the Red Devils in late 2020, and went on to make 50 appearances for the club including four in the Champions League where he scored a stunning volley against Villarreal in the group stages. To everyone at United: colleagues, staff, fans. I will be supporting and cheering you on all season. Manchester United defender Alex Telles has tested positive for coronavirus, and he will now self-isolate, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed. Telles, who joined in the summer transfer window from Portuguese club Porto for a reported fee of £15.4m, will now miss Manchester United’s clash against Arsenal on Sunday. The 27-year-old is yet to make a Premier League appearance for the club. The Brazilian made a superb debut during United’s 2-1 win against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League. However, he was surprisingly omitted from the squad against Chelsea with Luke Shaw playing instead of him during United’s 0-0 draw in the Premier League. He was also not part of the matchday squad for United’s emphatic 5-0 Champions League win over RB Leipzig, with fans speculating that he may h...

Manchester United have made a formal bid to sign left-back Alex Telles from Porto, The Guardian reports. The Brazil international has been identified as the club’s prime target to strengthen the left-back position this summer. It was recently reported that he had agreed to personal terms with United and the club have now made an opening bid worth £12m to sign him. Telles has a £36.7m release clause on his contract, but it appears that Porto are willing to accept a reduced fee with his deal expiring in nine months’ time. The Primeira outfit are said to value him at around £18m, but the Red Devils believe they can finalise the deal close to their opening bid for his services. Telles registered 13 goals and 12 assists for Porto last term and he should provide better attacking threat...
Manchester United are reportedly struggling to see eye to eye with FC Porto over a transfer fee for Alex Telles as negotiations trudge on. The superb Brazilian is believed to be up for the transfer but a lack of progress has seen fans lose hope over the deal. Fans recognise what Telles can bring to United and are keen to see his attacking prowess at Old Trafford. However, until both the clubs can agree on a fee then it’s likely the deal will fall through in a similar way to Sergio Reguilon. It’s believed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has a third left-back in mind should such a scenario occur but supporters will not be pleased with missing out on yet another player. According to Forbes, the Red Devils are trying to haggle with Porto because they’re not happy to spend £18m on a player whose contract ...
According to The Guardian, Manchester United are in advanced negotiations with Porto over the potential transfer of defender Alex Telles. The Red Devils have experienced a quiet summer transfer window and Donny van de Beek has been their sole purchase over the past eight weeks. As a result, there has been frustration among many fans, particularly after the disappointing 3-1 league defeat to Crystal Palace to start the campaign. The central defence remains a concern with the inconsistent displays of Victor Lindelof, but The Guardian reports that the club are currently looking to sign a new left-back. Luke Shaw and Brandon Williams have shared the left-back duties over the past year, but the former is the only specialist left-footed player for the position. Hence, United are looking to reinf...
