Armin van Buuren and Alesso Tease First-Ever Collaboration

Recent social media posts seem to point to the imminent release of Armin van Buuren and Alesso‘s first-ever collaboration. On Valentine’s Day, both artists took to Twitter to share hand-drawn art featuring their logos and the words “Leave a Little Love.” Appropriate for the romantic holiday, they are both styled to look like love notes and are fashioned with hearts. Unfortunately for impatient fans, no song preview or pre-save link exists, as nothing more than the teaser image was posted. Since sharing the photo, neither van Buuren nor Alesso artist have provided any additional information about their new venture.  At the time of this announcement, the official release date of “Leave a Little Love” is not yet known. Keep your eyes peeled on the arti...

Alesso and Armin van Buuren Share Preview, Announce Release Date of Debut Collaboration

It looks like Armin van Buuren and Alesso have a hit on their hands. Since the duo tortured the lovelorn on Valentine’s Day 2021 with a cryptic teaser of a track called “Leave a Little Love,” they’ve remained quiet about their first-ever collaboration—until now. Alesso and van Buuren each took to social media today, February 17th, to share a preview of the upcoming song, which sounds like an instant dance classic. The clip is short, but fans can hear bubbly piano chords akin to Alesso’s signature progressive house sound. It also offers up a taste of the track’s vocals, crooned by a singer whose name is yet to be announced. However, it sounds an awful lot like Bonn, the superstar Swedish singer-songwriter who has featured on global hit...

Here are the Best “Cold Bernie” Memes Shared by EDM Artists

The first month of 2021 hasn’t even come to a close yet, so obviously a photo of Bernie Sanders in fuzzy mittens has erupted as a viral meme. Because, well, 2021. An image of a bundled up Sanders seated at Joe Biden’s inauguration—snapped by photographer Brendan Smialowski for Getty Images—is making a barnstorming trip across social media as the epicenter of a hilarious meme trend. People have been ripping the image of the chilly Vermont senator and superimposing it into their own photos, planting him in a variety of places, like the classic “you can’t sit with us” Mean Girls scene. A slew of EDM artists took a crack at their own version of the “Cold Bernie” meme, including DJ Snake, Alesso, and NERVO, among many others. Check o...

Relive Road to Ultra Taiwan Sets from Alesso, SLANDER, Kayzo, and More

Those who missed the in-person event or its livestream can now enjoy recordings from the four headlining acts. While most of the world’s music fans are persevering the global live music festival shutdown due to the ongoing health crisis, the party raged on in Taiwan over the weekend. Due to the fact that they have less than ten documented COVID-19 cases in the entire country at the time of writing, and just over 600 since the virus was declared a pandemic back in March, government officials gave organizers the green light to host Road to Ultra Taiwan on Saturday.  To the delight of those living in countries without live music and to those who might have missed the livestream, a fan uploaded the headlining performances to YouTube after their premiere. Included are sets from ...

Alesso Taps Charlotte Lawrence for Dance Pop Track “The End”

With tracks that have gone on to, at times, consume the airwaves, Alesso is no stranger to producing electronic pop hits. They lift you up and pump energy directly through your speakers, heightening any room. Ahead of his upcoming headlining performance at Ultra Taiwan in November, the Swedish-born producer has released his new single “The End” with blossoming pop superstar Charlotte Lawrence. “The End” follows Alesso’s previous release of the Liam Payne-assisted “Midnight,” which dropped back in April 2020. It is the 29-year-old’s third single to be released this year, and it comes as no surprise that the track carries the same huge energy and momentum we have come to know and love from Alesso. “The End” is out now and avail...

Alesso Plays “Truth or Drink” with Fan In Hilarious Must-See Interview

In one of his more interesting interviews in recent memory, Alesso played a virtual game of “Truth or Drink” with a fan. Moderated by the popular YouTube channel Cut, the Swedish DJ/producer and a fan had to answer very personal questions from a deck of cards or take a drink in lieu of spilling the beans. By “personal,” we don’t mean your typical “tell us about your childhood”-style questions. This wide-ranging interview went as far as asking the EDM festival headliner if he’s ever had sex to his own music.  In addition to the previously mentioned question, he was asked about before-show nerves, groupies, and drugs, while the fan was asked to reveal her least-favorite Alesso song and to sing a portion of one of his tracks. ...

DoorDash also partnered with Chili’s to curate an exclusive menu for the virtual dinner party, which viewers can actually order through DoorDash’s mobile app to recreate the experience from home. Lollapalooza‘s fate in 2020 remains uncertain. Due to COVID-19, organizers of the Chicago-based festival are working to reach a decision by the end of May as to whether the four-day event will take place this summer. In the meantime, Lollapalooza is opening up the archives and livestreaming two unique weekly events, Lolla From The Vault and Perry’s Power Hour. Lollapalooza was created by Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Farrell in 1991 and today the festival’s primary dance music destination, Perry’s Stage, continues to bear his name.  Lolla From The Vault kicked off yesterday as fans relived a 2010 headlining performance from The Strokes. For dance music fans, Perry’s Power Hour starts this coming Sunday and will feature Alesso‘s 2019 hea...
