Global superstar DJ and producer Alesso has become a household name in the EDM community, having dominated dance-floors and airwaves for over a decade with hits like “Calling (Lose My Mind)” and his seminal album Forever. In a new interview, he opened up about his experiences with mental health issues and his friendship with the late Avicii. “A couple of years ago I went through a difficult time mentally,” Alesso told Haute Living. “I got everything I wanted—a career and to travel around the world—but then I noticed that if I didn’t take care of my health, all these things I wanted just became stressful to me. They were supposed to give me happiness, but they started not to because I didn’t take care of myself mentally or physically. That was s...
Alesso is set to reinvigorate the dancefloor with his latest two track offering, Progresso Vol. 2, which picks back up right where he left the series with its 2019 debut. With this series, Alesso is temporarily setting aside the anthemic, singalong-style vocals of “Midnight” with Liam Payne and, more recently, “Going Dumb” with CORSAK and Stray Kids, two of the superstar producer’s most notable released in the last year. Alesso brings a renewed energy to the dancefloor with the clean cut, pumping percussive rhythms of “Together,” an instrumental house track that is a direct appeal to the clubbing crowd. On the flip side, “Again” finds a slightly moodier tone and strikes a more techno-heavy instrumental balance, characterized...

Alesso‘s stunning Studio City mansion is officially up for grabs. And it could be yours for a cool $6.5 million. The Swedish superstar DJ and music producer, known for global dance anthems like “Heroes (We Could Be)” and “Under Control,” purchased the home back in 2018 for $5.8 million, according to Dirt. The sprawling six-bedroom, eight-bathroom property is splayed out on 6,587 square feet. The mansion has two levels and flaunts massive ceilings, glass walls, and breathtaking mountain views. Noel Kleinman/Associated Press One of the most architecturally unique facets of the home is its infinity-edge pool and spa, which is partially covered by a huge deck above that offers picturesque views of the city. There is also an infrared sauna,...

Swedish Save The Children and the Tim Bergling Foundation want to help destigmatize discussions around mental health. Their joint campaign has partnered with a handful of Swedish artists, who will be replacing their album covers on Spotify with animated shorts that visualize children’s emotions and anxiety. Alesso, Tove Lo, Elliphant, and many more Swedish musicians will be participating over the next four weeks. In honor of their third anniversary, PUBG mobile is celebrating with a succession of live DJ sets and partnerships with Alesso, R3HAB, Lost Frequencies, and more. In partnership with PUGB mobile, Alesso also teamed up with Chinese singer CORSAK AND K-pop group Stray Kids for their new single “Going Dumb.” Delivering Alesso’s signature electro-pop style, “Going Dumb” was released with two versions: one with Corsak and Stray Kids, and one with only Corsak. The version with Stray Kids is sung in a combination of Korean and English. Watch the lyric video below. Overall, the tune is fresh, uplifting, and groovy. While the intro is invigorating with catchy vocals, a soft piano melody, and powerful risers, the captivating drop is comprised of a thumping bass, crisp hi hats, and pow...
Armin van Buuren has delivered a new progressive trance mix of his single with Alesso, “Leave A Little Love.” From the minute the original track was teased, fans were instantly excited to hear what the duo would sound like together, as it was their first collaborative project. Now, seemingly as a gift to his longtime listeners, van Buuren released the “Club Mix” of the song, a vintage trance rendition that falls more in line with A State of Trance than it does with traditional radio. It’s immediately apparent from the first few seconds of the song that it is a pretty significant departure from the more pop-friendly sound of the original. While the catchy lyrics are still in place, the vocals in the club mix are more of a compliment to the chugging progres...
It’s rare when two of the most seminal dance music producers in the world join forces for an original song. But when it happens, it has the potential to set the tone of the genre’s future. Such is the case with “Leave A Little Love,” the new single from Alesso and Armin van Buuren and the duo’s first-ever collaboration. Longtime fans may be a bit dismayed at the sonic direction here, which isn’t rooted in the soaring progressive house and euphoric trance styles of Alesso and van Buuren, respectively. However, the’ve still managed to deliver on the horsepower behind their legacies with a scintillating house-pop hybrid that has the look of a timeless dance anthem. The excitement surrounding “Leave A Little Love” has be...
