Kehlani has announced her third album Blue Water Road, which will be released this winter. To preview the record, she unveiled the lead single “Altar” today. Right on cue, Lindsey Jordan has announced the follow-up to her massive 2018 debut, Lush, with her second LP, Valentine, out November 5th via Matador. Today, the 22-year-old indie rocker is offering a preview of the album with its title track, and she’s also unveiled a lengthy list of worldwide tour dates beginning this fall and heading into 2022. Jarvis Cocker Announces Companion Album to Wes Anderson’s The French Dispatch

Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker has announced a French pop covers album titled CHANSONS d’ENNUI as a companion piece to Wes Anderson’s upcoming movie The French Dispatch. It’s due out October 22nd to coincide with the film’s release worldwide. In a statement, Cocker explained the album is actually credited to a fictional pop singer in the movie named Tip-Top. “JARV IS… were asked to record a version of ‘Aline’ (originally a hit in the 60s for non-fictional French pop star Christophe) under the guise of Tip Top,” he wrote on Instagram. “You may have heard it in the trailer for the film. To celebrate its first anniversary, the Brooklyn-based electronic musician has announced a special Blu-Ray edition of the record, to be released on October 29th via Warp. Today, he’s shared a reimagining of “Tales from the Trash Stratum” that features guest vocals from Cocteau Twins’ Elizabeth Fraser. Kim Gordon’s Body/Head Announce New Album with Wolf Eyes’ Aaron Dilloway, Share “Goin’ Down”: Stream

After the dissolution of her band Sonic Youth, Kim Gordon teamed up with experimental guitarist Bill Nace to form the duo Body/Head. Now, that project is expanding with the addition of former Wolf Eyes member Aaron Dilloway for the aptly titled Body/Dilloway/Head. Today, the newly-formed trio have announced their self-titled debut, out November 19th via Three Lobed Recordings. As a preview, they’ve shared the song “Goin’ Down.” Body/Dilloway/Head combines Gordon’s pioneering alt-rock spirit with Nace and Dilloway’s knack for boundary-breaking experimentation.
