UPSAHL Announces New EP Sagittarius, Shares “Into My Body”: Stream

UPSAHL is set to celebrate her sign with a new EP called Sagittarius, out on December 9th via Arista Records. As a preview, she’s shared the new single, “Into My Body,” and its accompanying music video. MGMT Plot Release of Live Album 11-11-11, 11 Years Later

On November 11th, 2011, MGMT performed an original 45-minute piece at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York to mark the opening of an exhibit celebrating the artist Maurizio Cattelan. Now, the band will finally release that performance as a live album, appropriately titled 11-11-11. The project, of course, arrives on 11-11-22. MGMT’s Andrew VanWyngarden and Ben Goldwasser were commissioned to write music in response to the 2011 Cattelan display, which suspended 130 pieces of art from varying heights. “We’re creating a musical experience that works for the building and for the construction and presentation of the Cattelan exhibit,” the duo said at the time. “It’s an art exhibit done in a completely original way, so it deserves music which is completely original.” After debu...

Run the Jewels are revisiting their 2020 album RTJ4 with RTJ CU4TRO, a reimagining of the record made entirely by Latin American artists. The remix project arrives November 11th via Jewel Runners / BMG, and “Caminando en la Nieve,” an adaptation of “Walking in the Snow” by Orestes Gomez, Nick Hook, Akapellah, Apache, and Pawmps, is out now. Out on November 4th, the project features the lead single “Flag on the Play.” The 10-track LP was entirely produced by Toronto’s Futurewave and includes a sole feature from fellow Detroit rapper 2100 Bagz. West Coast rap supergroup MOUNT WESTMORE have announced a new album fittingly titled Snoop, Cube, 40, $hort, out on December 9th via Mount Westmore/MNRK Music Group. They also shared a teaser of their upcoming single, “Too Big,” featuring Bay Area mainstay P-Lo ahead of its release on October 21st. The quartet consisting of Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, Too $hort, and E-40 was expected to release an album together in April 2021 after Too $hort teased it in an interview with DJ Vlad. To the chagrin of fans, the group instead dropped their debut project, Bad MFs, as an NFT in June of this year via the blockchain platform Gala Music. Green Day Announce Nimrod 25th Anniversary Box Set, Share Unreleased Demo “You Irritate Me”: Stream

Green Day have unveiled a new box set to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their fifth album, Nimrod. The three-piece collection was announced along with an unearthed track from that era, “You Irritate Me.” Nimrod 25 – 25th Anniversary Edition contains the 1997 LP along with a compilation of demos and a live recording from a headlining show at Philadelphia’s Electric Factory on November 14th, 1997, one month after the album’s release. The 14-track demo set features early takes of album cuts like “Nice Guys Finish Last” and “Walking Alone” as well as unreleased songs like “Tre Polka” and a cover of Elvis Costello’s “Alison.” Stream the set’s first offering, a demo of “You Irritate Me,” below. Sigur Rós are celebrating the 20th anniversary of their third studio album, ( ), with a new reissue arriving digitally on October 27th. As a preview, they’ve shared the first single, a remastered version of “Untitled #7” (aka “Dauðalagið” or “The Death Song”). Stream it below. The 20th anniversary edition of ( ) was remastered by legendary engineer Ted Jenson at Sterling Sound. In addition to previously unreleased material, it features rarities and demos including unheard studio sessions of existing tracks and two B-Sides from the original “Untitled 1” single. Over two hours worth of Hans Zimmer compositions get a new life on Hans Zimmer LIVE, a forthcoming live double-album commemorating the legendary German composer. Ahead of its March 3rd release, we can hear a reimagined version of “The Last Samurai Suite” today. Recorded during his 2022 European concert tour of the same name, Hans Zimmer LIVE compiles highlights from the soundtracks to films like The Lion King, The Dark Knight, X Men: Dark Phoenix, Dunkirk, Gladiator, Inception, Interstellar, The Last Samurai, Man of Steel, No Time to Die, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Wonder Woman 1984. The title for the nine-track project comes from a line from GloRilla’s breakout viral hit, “F.N.F. Liturgy have announced a new double album and shared the title track “93696.” The band also released a new stand-alone mini-LP, As the Blood of God Bursts the Veins of Time, that is available to stream now. Clocking in at 15 minutes, “93696” is another ambitious sonic leap for Liturgy. The genre-defying epic is structured into three movements that are crammed with musical flourishes.
