Insomniac Announces Massive Lineup for Countdown NYE 2021

The countdown to Countdown NYE is officially on. Insomniac has announced a massive lineup for the 2021 edition of the SoCal New Year’s Eve event, which will expand back to two-days on December 31st and January 1st. The alien-themed music festival annually takes place at the NOS Events Center in San Bernardino. A new study by Australian finance blog S-Money has revealed the most valuable songs on Spotify by country. Some of the usual suspects like Ed Sheeran and Drake are featured of course, taking the cake in the United Kingdom and Canada, respectively. The United States’ most valuable song comes courtesy of Post Malone, whose influential “Rockstar” is the clear-cut winner. Late EDM legend Avicii‘s “Wake Me Up” is Sweden’s most-streamed song worldwide, worth well over $6 million from its staggering 1.25 billion streams to date. Alan Walker and Republic of Gamers are joining forces in order to find the perfect fan-made video for Walker’s recent collaboration, “Fake A Smile,” alongside salem ilese.  The “For Those Who Dare” gameplay animation challenge encourages all creatives to develop a video for “Fake A Smile” through the lens of their favorite video game characters and in-game footage. Upon releasing the official music video, Walker suggested the song was about finding strength to persevere through trying times, and praised his fans for showing compassion towards each other, especially over the last year. Avicii Receives Posthumous Nominations at 2020 Billboard Music Awards

The late dance music icon, whose estate posthumously released his third studio album, Tim, has been nominated for two Billboard Music Awards ahead of the show’s 2020 edition.
