President Muhammadu Buhari, Monday night, received National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, and pioneer Interim Chairman of the party, Chief Bisi Akande, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. Kaduna plane crash: President Buhari orders flag flown at half-mast
President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered flag to be flown at half-mast in honour of Lt. General Ibrahim Attahiru, the late Chief of Army Staff and 10 others who died in the Friday air crash. In a statement by Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, the flag is to be flown in all public buildings, facilities and official residences from Monday, May 24 to Wednesday, May 26th. General Ibrahim Attahiru, the Chief of Army Staff, has died in a plane crash. Details of the incident are still sketchy but a military source told newsmen that it happened in Kaduna on Friday. In a statement, the Nigerian Air Force confirmed that there was an accident involving one of its aircraft in Kaduna but did not go into details. “An air crash involving a @NigAirForce aircraft occurred this evening near the Kaduna International Airport. The immediate cause of the crash is still being ascertained. More details to follow soon,” read the statement signed by Edward Gabkwet, the force’s Director of Public Relations and Information.
