Ahluwalia

Ahluwalia recently collaborated with luxury brand Mulberry, to release a limited-edition capsule collection of 12 tote bags and four silk scarves. Leading the collaboration is the signature Mulberry Portobello tote, which Ahluwalia has reimagined in three different variations. The first is a series of oversized Portobello totes, followed by five regular sized ones, and three mini totes — a size that was developed specifically for the capsule. According to the release, “the collection is influenced by Ahluwalia’s fascination with hair as a means of identity, protest and expression, drawing on the designer’s mixed Nigerian-Indian heritage, both cultures in which hair holds such importance.” In order to further the collaboration, Mulberry has signed up to the Halo Code...
