Supreme Court Rejects Affirmative Action, Prompts Outrage

The conservative majority of the Supreme Court ruled that affirmative action programs at two colleges were unconstitutional on Thursday, upending decades of progress. The decisions were made in two cases involving programs at the University of North Carolina and Harvard University, which brought swift and excoriating dissent from Justices Ketanji Brown Jackson and Sonia Sotomayor among others who voiced their opinions online.
