DSS asks Sunday Igboho to surrender

The Department of State Services (DSS) has asked Yoruba Nation activist, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, a.k.a Sunday Igboho to surrender to the nearest security agency. The Public Relations Officer of DSS, Dr Peter Afunanya, gave the advice at a media briefing on Thursday in Abuja. He said 13 people were arrested in a raid on the Ibadan home of the activist early on Thursday. “Consequently, ADEYEMO/IGBOHO is advised to turn himself in to the nearest security agency. “Those cheering and eulogising him may appeal to or advise him to do the needful. Minister presents draft national biosecurity policy to stakeholders

The Minister of State for Environment, Sharon Ikeazor, formally presented zero draft National Biosecurity Policy to stakeholders. Widow of slain LASTMA officer prays judicial panel for compensation

Adeyemo Rotimi, widow of Rotimi Oke Adeyemo, a Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) official has prayed the Lagos judicial panel for compensation for the murder of her husband. She stated that she does not have an amount in mind for compensation but wants a scholarship for her children up till tertiary level. According to the widow, her husband was shot dead by Olonde Olakunle, a SARS officer while on duty on 28th November 2018. Her husband’s death clocks exactly two years today. Mrs. Rotimi said upon the death of her husband, she has been left to cater for her children, a twin (3-year-old), and their elder brother (8-year-old). CAN reacts to death sentence on Kano singer

File Photo The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, in Kano State has reacted to the death sentence passed on a musician, Yahaya Aminu Sharif. An Upper Sharia court had sentenced Sharif to death for alleged blasphemy against Prophet Muhammad. The court sitting in Kano had sentenced Yahaya Sharif-Aminu, to death by handing for comments against Prophet Mohammad. The trial Judge, Khadi Muhammad Ali-Kani had ruled that the 23-year-old singer’s audio remark against Prophet Mohammad was against Islamic law. Reacting, the Chairman of Kano State chapter of CAN, Adeolu Samuel Adeyemo said the group has no objection to the ruling.
