Above & Beyond and Mat Zo Drop Long-Awaited Group Therapy ID, “Always Do”

Above & Beyond and Mat Zo have finally dropped one of 2021’s most anticipated Group Therapy IDs. The Anjunabeats veterans today released “Always Do,” an acid-soaked progressive house single. Tinctures of haunting vocals guide listeners through an atmospheric, dark arrangement, which is highlighted by pulsing bass. New Electronic Music Festival to Debut In D.C. With Martin Garrix, GRiZ, Seven Lions, More

A brand new music festival 20 years in the making is set to debut in the nation’s capital this spring. Insomniac Events and Club Glow have announced Project GLOW, a first-of-its-kind electronic music festival at the RFK Festival Grounds in Washington, D.C. Scheduled for April 30th and May 1st, the two-day, two-stage fest will feature performances from some of the biggest names in EDM, such as Martin Garrix, Seven Lions, Diplo, GRiZ, Krewella and SLANDER, among others. Tickets will go on sale Friday, January 14th at 10AM ET and you can purchase them here. Two years after Above & Beyond‘s last Group Therapy Weekender at the Gorge Amphitheatre, the legendary trance trio are set to bring their fan-favorite show back to the idyllic PNW venue in 2022. Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy Weekender is scheduled for July 23rd and 24th, 2022 and also includes a warm-up party with the group on the 22nd. Above & Beyond Partner With Amazon Music to Share Playlist of Songs Remixed In Spatial Audio

Immersive and spatial audio are becoming the next step forward in audio. Trance group Above & Beyond have now teamed up with Amazon Music to share remixes in Dolby Atmos’ spatial audio format. Reworked tracks include “Almost Home,” “Screwdriver,” and “1995” by gardenstate. When listening to the album, take note of how various synths and percussive instruments are placed in the mix. The percussion seems larger, synths have more room to move amongst the melodies, and time-based effects (like delay and reverb) fill in the space much more fluidly, giving the tracks a totally new feel.
