On Tuesday morning, the Recording Academy revealed the full slate of nominations for the 64th Annual Grammy Awards. Over the past few tumultuous years, the Recording Academy has overseen changes in leadership and nominating procedures, with one more twist being announced just this morning before the nominations were unveiled: the Big Four general field categories (Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best New Artist) would grow from 8 to 10 nominees each. ABBA Releasing First-Ever Christmas Single, ‘Little Things’

ABBA are giving fans yet another gift this holiday season. The reunited Swedish megapop quartet announced on Tuesday (Nov. 16) that they will drop the new Christmas single, “Little Things” on Dec. 3 through Universal Music. The song, which appears on the the reformed group’s hit album Voyage, is described as a “gentle reflection on the joy of Christmas morning and family time around this special time of year.” The band also teased that a video for their first-ever Christmas song will be released soon; the single will be released on a physical CD next month. UNIABUJA appoints DVC academic, administration

The Governing Council of the University of Abuja has approved the appointment of Prof. Clement Alawa and Prof. Abubakar Abba as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), respectively. Their appointment was disclosed in a statement issued by Dr Habib Yakoob, the Head, Information and Public Relations of the university on Tuesday. Yakoob said the council’s approval followed the endorsement of the vice-chancellor’s request by the institution’s senate. He said Alawa was re-appointed for another two years after a successful first tenure as Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic). A Customary Court sitting at Arochukwu in the Arochukwu council area of Abia state has vowed to give accelerated hearing in the Nde Akweke traditional stool tussle pending before it.
