Thus far, the company has delivered on the development of a Royalty Dashboard solution that uniquely aggregates royalty earnings data from across platforms and accounts all in one location. After the organizers of Governors Ball made the announcement earlier this year that the beloved three-day festival would be returning to Queens, it seems the festival’s 10th anniversary event is moving forward as scheduled. And while “plans” these days only mean so much, what holds more weight are lineup announcements, and this year’s edition has arrived. The lineup for Governors Ball 2021 is all-star, to stay the least. Set to take the stage will be a slew of superstar artists such as RÜFÜS DU SOL, Jamie XX, and Ellie Goulding, among many others. A-Trak will be throwing down on two separate occasions: first on Saturday with his brother—Dave 1 of Chromeo—as The Brothers Macklovitch, and again with Armand Van Helden...

Known for his talents as a multi-instrumentalist, producer and vocalist, powerhouse UK export SG Lewis is back again, this time with two imaginative remixes of “Feed The Fire” featuring Lucky Daye. Penned by The Brothers Macklovitch, a duo of brotherly love comprised of siblings A-Trak and Chromeo‘s Dave 1, and emerging talent Kassian, each artist used their signature styles to put their own spin on the original, whose melody was interpolated from Daft Punk‘s “Voyager.” With both remixes out November 27th via Jasmine Music and Universal Music, the reimagining from The Brothers Macklovitch is particularly noteworthy, as it marks only their third official release since reemerging in January. Reworking “Feed the Fire,” the d...
There’s quite a lot to unpack in Duck Sauce‘s “cameo filled” music video for the group’s newly released single, “Mesmerize.” The “Barbara Streisand” producers have made 2020 their comeback year, releasing what is now their fifth single of the year. Previously, the group had not released music since 2014. The new song is an alluring effort that ensnares with a memorable hook and uplifting disco rhythms. The real story, however, is the song’s music video, which we can only begin to scratch the surface of here. A simulated club scene featuring Duck Sauce begins to unfold with a quirky cast of characters introduced. As the scene stalls out at its tipping point, the video editor breaks the fourth wall, opening up a new window on ...

Since mid-March, the ongoing coronavirus pandemic has forced traditional concerts to take an indefinite hiatus. Over the past few months, however, we’ve seen an emergence of drive-in shows to supplement the loss of live music. At the end of August, A-Trak will be headlining a drive-in show in SoCal hosted by GLOBAL SOUNDEMIC. Additionally, GLOBAL SOUNDEMIC has stated this will be the first of many shows in their “Drive-In Dance Party” series. GLOBAL SOUNDEMIC’s event flier Although some drive-in raves have gone off without a hitch, a handful have failed to host safe and responsible events. Last mont...
A-Trak took to Twitter yesterday, July 14th, to share the astonishing story behind an official remix he produced for the the King of Pop, which he admits “will never come out.” “Back in 2012, I got asked to do a Michael Jackson remix for the 25th anniversary of Bad,” A-Trak wrote. “They said I could pick any track on the album.” He goes on to say that he chose Jackson’s legendary single “Smooth Criminal,” which appeared on the late artist’s seminal studio album Bad, before teaming up with Oliver to flesh out the remix. When music producers are tapped for a remix, the original artist simply sends the DAW project file or the song’s stems in a Zip archive. This exchange is somewhat perilous, though, since it leaves a digit...
